Show Death of James E. O'Brien. Saturday. April 18, James E. O'Brien passed peacefully to his eternal reward, re-ward, after a lingering illness. The sympathy of hosts of friends is extended to the sorrowing mother and relatives in their bereavement. The (deceased was a young man of fine I character and a true type of an earnest, sincere Catholic. His resignation to his suffering and his approaching death testified to the sincere devotion for the I faith, which alone gives courage to the soul. The funeral services, consisting of solemn high mass, were held on Monday Mon-day morning from St. Mary's cathedral. Beautiful music was rendered by a quartette from the cathedral choir. Rev. Father Curran gave a touch-' ing sermon, paying a well deserved tribute to the life of the deceased. The pall bearers were Messrs. P. J. Morgan. Mor-gan. Thomaa Marnane. Kellett, E. F. Stolzenberger. P. H. Fitzmaurlce and Michael Crompton. The interment was in Mount Calvary cemetery. May he rest in peace! |
