McLaughlin, one of the well known former Ogden boys, who is now holding an important and responsible position with the Western Union Telegraph Tele-graph company at Salt Lake, was in Ogden last week. Mrs. Joseph M. Gries is home from Dallas, Tex., after spending the winter with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C Rowan. She was accompanied by her little daughter, Roberta. The piano recital given by Miss Stewart Stew-art at Sacred Heart academy Friday evening called together a large undi-ence, undi-ence, friends of the performer and of the institution. Miss Stewart acquitted acquit-ted herself in brilliant style, winning high praise from all who heard her. Mrs. R. S. Joyce and Miss Frances Joyce entertained at the Virginia r.n Tuesday in a bridge party. Mrs. H. P. Henderson, Mrs. E. M. Allison and Miss Jane Howat were guests from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Healey arrivod home from Europe on Thursday afternoon after-noon after five months spent abroad, during which they made extensive tours on the continent, in addition to much time spent in England. Ireland and Scotland. They returned in the-best the-best of health, greatly ' benefited by their trip. |
