Show l BOISE, IDA. t ; ( Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, was observed in the Catholic church Wednesday morning of last" week by the celebration of hih mass at 9 o'clock. Fa titer De Stoop officiated and tiie cathedral was crowded to its utmost capacity. Special music rendered ren-dered by the choir was very beautiful Regular mass will be held every morning morn-ing and services Wednesday and Friday evenings. Other special services lie observed. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Ricketts rind Mrs. J. C. Couriers left for their home at Silver City Monday. The party just returned re-turned from Salt I,ake, where thev spent ten days visitinsr. Miss Maude McKinley left Tuesday evening for her home at Wallace. She has been here several weeks visiting the Misses O'Farrell. Her father. A. D. McKinley, who has been here several weeks, left for Twin Falls on a business ' trip. J Mrs. W. J. Shanley of Pinedale. Wyo., returned Monday to Parma, where "she is visiting Mrs. David Oromer. While, here she was the guest of Mrs. S. P.. Morden. Mart Burns and family have returned to Meridian from southern California, where they spent five months for the benefit of Mrs. Burns' health. She returns re-turns greatly improved. Frank H. Quinn of Cataldo, Kooteimi county, has been appointed a notary public. |
