The house was prettily decorated with cut flowers and greens, pjnk and white carnations b-ing used in the parlors and halls, and yellow jonquils upstairs. The first prize was , won by Miss Beatrice Krams. Mrs. Cuke was awarded the prize for the most lone hands, and the consolation I was. won by Mrs. Libbey. Tarbet entertained at a delightful card party last Thursday afternoon, in honor of Mrs. Walter C. Lewis of Butte. Over fifty ladies were present, and all enjoyed the hospitality hospital-ity of their very charming hostess. The floral decorations of the rooms was very much admired. American beauty roses were in bountiful profusion in the parlors, the library and dining 100m were fragrant with carnations, while great palms banked the reception I hall. The first prize, a handsome cut glass dish, was won by Mrs. R. B. Whitte-more: Whitte-more: the lone hand prize, a beautiful hand-painted plate, by Miss M. Parker, Par-ker, and the consolation prize, one of the late novels, by Mrs. Helen Ash. The guest of honor prize was an exquisite ex-quisite cut glass dish. Mrs. Tarbet was assisted in entertaining by Mrs. AVilliam McDermott, Mrs. George Read, Miss Read and Miss Edith Parker. Par-ker. The delightful afternoon will long be remembered by Mrs. Lewis and the many charming ladies who had the pleasure of meeting her.
