Show PIONEER NURSERY CO. In the subject of this sketch the name Pioneer expresses a fact. This company is in all truth the pioneer nursery of Utah. Thomas Woodbury was one of the hardy pioneers who first entered the valley val-ley of the Great Salt Lake, and here began be-gan the making of an inland empire of unsurpassed greatness. It was he who first established what is now known as the Pioneer Nursery. This was in the year jsou. m mo w... was formed, and three years later incorporated incor-porated under the state laws with a capital cap-ital stock of $25,000, and having for its officers of-ficers Sidney Tuttle, president: George J. Foster, vice president: W. E. Rossney and M. E. Callahan, treasurer. In the years from 1850 to 1890 the business busi-ness met with varying success. Since the formation of the new company in the latter lat-ter year rapid strides have been made along the roadway of success.
