Show ANACONDA. The funeral of the late Dennis Heff-ron Heff-ron last week was largely -attended. Mr. Heffron was well known in Anaconda Ana-conda and the many friends- of the family were present to show a last mark of respect to the deceased. The Grand Army post of Anaconda, to which Mr. Heffron belonged, was present 111 a body, that organization having charge of the funeral arrangements. ar-rangements. From the residence, on the corner of Cherry and Fifth streets, the funeral cortege proceeded to St. Paul's church, where Solemn High Mass- w as celebrated. . The interment inter-ment took place in Mount Carmel cemetery. Mr. Heffron was a man of great industry, in-dustry, and had by his efforts accumulated ac-cumulated considerable valuable property prop-erty in Anaconda. A widow and six children survive him. One son, Fred, resides in Butte, and a daughter lives in Arizona. Many beautiful floral offerings of-ferings were s-ent to the Heffron home by friends of the family. Mr. Heffron fought during the Civil war in one of the Illinois regiments, and his war record was praiseworthy. Those who acted as pallbearers were his comrades in the local G. A. R; post. The pallbearers- were: J. S. Wisner. A. Short, E. Waterbury, Heber Golder, Henry Erret and Marshall O. Spier. |
