The club banquets I have previously been held earlier but 1 it wH.s postponed this year on account f of the opening- of the. San -Pedro. Loa Angeles & Salt Lake railroad. It had been hped that the banquet could be held at the time of the opening- of the j road, and that possibly members of the j.dM Angeles hamber of commerce would he in attendance. On account of the indefinite time of the road's opening, open-ing, this has been abandoned. The members of the banquet committee are Charles A. Quig-ley, chairman: Jay i. Harris, Charles S. Burton and Charles Read. W. J. Hooley has received a letter from Ing-o county, California, telling- of a rich g-old discovery there.
