Show MEN REACHING 21 TO BE REGISTERED IN SECOND DRAFT On July) 1, the chairman of each selective service board will have charge of registration in his area of all men who have reached the age of 21 years since October 16, 1940. The responsibility is placed squarely upon each, local board to make complete arrangements for this registration between the hours of 7 a. m. and 9 p. m. of July 1. National headquarters anticipates that the registration will run oot 6 per cent of the county's present registration, and on this estimate Franklin county will register between be-tween 75 and 100 men who have attained at-tained 21 years of age since October Octo-ber 16, 1940, on July 1. Tentative plans have not been worked out by the local board, but It is believed probable that the the registration will be done at the county building, according to word received from Chairman C. L. Swenson of the local board. |
