Show SERVICES AT WESTON ON WEDNESDAY FOR J. P. NIELSEN WESTON Funeral services for John P. Nielsen, 62, former Weston resident, who died Friday in a Lewiston, Idaho, hospital, were conducted Wednesday in the Weston Wes-ton LDS ward chapel. Burial was in the Hyde Park cemetery wlLh Richards and Son mortuary of Preston in charge.- Mr. Nielsen was a well-known farmer, educational leader and LDS church worker. He movea num Weston to Ogden 12, years ago, and later moved to Kalispell, Mont. He was born June 11, 1878, in Hyde Park, Utah, a son of Lars and Dorothea, Marie Thompson Nielsen. He married Eva Louise Drinkwa-ter, Drinkwa-ter, December 21, 1899, in the Logan Lo-gan LDS temple. She died January 4, 1925, and he later married Mary Jones of Ogden. He was active in county farm organizations. or-ganizations. For several years he was a director of Weston Creek Irrigation Ir-rigation company. He also served as clerk of Weston district school and Weston Rural high school boards a number of years. Surviving are his widow; six sons, Russell B.. Nielsen of Weston, Milton W. Nielsen of Missoula, Mont.; Andrew J. Nielsen of Kell-spell, Kell-spell, Mont.; Dr. Lowell W. Nielsen of Raleigh, N. C; Weldon H, Nielsen Niel-sen of Salt Lake City; and Merle Nielsen of Ogden; three daughters, Ml'S. Efti'l Packer and Mrs. Helen Smith of Rexburg, and Mrs. Arnold Reddish of Pocntello; a brother, fjeorge C. Nielsen of Logan; two sisters, Mrs. Heber Balls of Hyde Park, and Mrs. N. C. Miller of Preston. |
