Show Civil ervico The United States Civil Service commission has anonunced mat applications ap-plications will be accepted at its Washington office for the positions listed below not later than the closing dates specified. Where two dates are given, the first applies to applications received from States east of Colorado, the second to those from Colorado and states westward. The salary in each case is subject to a 32 per cent retirement retire-ment deduction. Engineering draftsman, various grades and optional branches, with salaries ranging from $1,620, to $2,-COO $2,-COO a year. Applications will be rated as received until December 31, 1941 Junior communications operator (high-speed radio equipment), $1,-620 $1,-620 a year, Signal Service at Large, War Department. Applications may be filed until further notice. Inspector (subsistence supplies), various grades, with sf.iaries ranging rang-ing from: $1,620. to $2,600 a year, Quartermaster Corps, War Department. Depart-ment. Applications will be rated as received until further notice. Assistant home, economist, $2,600 a year, in the following fields; Food economics, clothing economics, eco-nomics, specialist in food utilization, utiliza-tion, various grades, with salaries from $2,600 to $4,600 a year. Associate Asso-ciate home economist in food economics eco-nomics or family oconomics, and associate in food composition, $3,-200 $3,-200 a year. Closing dates are. February Feb-ruary 17 to 20, 1941.
