U S. S Bureau of ot Reclamation with Gov Gov- Governor Governor Henry H H. H Blood officiating at ground breaking ceremonies at atthe atthe atthe the dam site on June 28 A mIllion million million mil mIl- lion dollar fill earth-fill dam was constructed constructed con approximately a half halt mile downstream from the original outlet outlet outlet out out- let of at the lake raising the water level over 60 feet and creating a storage capacity of ot feet acre of at water This dam was completed sufficiently to catch the 1938 spring runoff and in June 1938 the lake was as filled tilled to capacity It has since proved invaluable to farmers of Duchesne Duchesne Duchesne Du Du- Du- Du chesne and Uintah counties and is the only hope of at saving most of ot the crops in the Basin this year Officials of ot the project will be beon beon beon on hand to conduct tours through I the dam and auxiliary units for I.
