B A. A C. C were a mixed group of high school and college students and those students not sufficiently advanced Inthe in inthe inthe the various arlous fields of work Olk did not participate This has been particularly particular particular- ly true of the music organizations Now the high school is to have a band and orchestra There is no reason reason rea rea- son On way these organizations should bould not be as successful as those in do neighboring neighbor neighbor- ing high schools Parowan has been able abe to develop a band of mem mem- bers Why shouldn't cedar do as well with ith a registration greater than theirs In all probability the State Band contest will be held in do Cedar City this coming year and the local high school should be represented alon along with the forty or fifty other schools which will be here is band is being organized now so 0 that the summer months can be used to best advantage and enough progress progress progress pro pro- gress made to make a good showing next spring Roy Halverson has been employed by the City and schools to give free tree instruction for the summer and all aU that Is needed now is a little enthusiasm on the part of the Cedar high school students sufficient at least to get sixty beginners out for I rehearsals by next week Students who haven't access to instrument Instruments in in- in strument should get in do touch with Mr Halverson at once He can be found at the B.
