Show Chapel Dedication Highly Successful The Cedar First Ward chapel and recreation hall was dedicated Sunday at services which were the feature of a three day celebration of the completion of the building Heber J. J Grant Orant president of the church de dedicated dedicated dedicated de- de the building and andas was as the principle principle principle prin prin- ciple speaker at the afternoon services I which were attended by more than fifteen hundred people of Cedar city and surrounding towns In his address President Grant Orant urged urged urged ed that the building be put to the best possible uses and the people profit from their efforts in building the church by regular attendance and worship worship wor wor- ship within the building He spoke of the unusual beauty of the edifice and complimented the people of th the ward upon building such a beautiful church and upon their use of local materials its construction Dr George W. W Middleton of Salt Lake City a former fonner resident of Cedar also spoke at the services and highly praised the people for their efforts and complimented them upon the Job they had completed Talks were also given by President Wm R. R Palmer and Scott Matheson of the Stake Presidency Presidency Presidency Pre Pre- Bishop F. F B. B Wood and his First Counselor Wm B. B Adams and by George A. A Wood and LaFayette McConnell of the building committee Both President Grant Orant and Dr MIddleton Middleton Middleton Mid MId- also spoke at the Sunday School Services At this time Dr Middleton compared the church b buildings In Cedar Cedar Cedar Ce Ce- dar city today with those he remembered remembered remembered of 50 years ago At the Sunday evening Bp Wood gave his report on the building to members of the ward Fine musical programs were given at each of the services Saturday evening the Ward M M. I.
