Show SUSPECTED IN CUSTODY Twin Falls Peace Officers Act Speedily to Clear up Murder of George L. Olson. Ol-son. Twin' Falls police are to be commended com-mended for the manner in which they have sought the murderers of George L. Olson . Salt Lake City jewelry salesman. Thursday , they placed under ' arrest, Duncan M. Johnston, former mayor of Twin Falls and a jewelry dealer and his employee, William LaVonde. No confessions have as yet been made by the men under arrest but the jewelry taken from Mr. Olson has been located and recovered re-covered from the basement of the Johnston jewelry store. . - Both suspects have been fingerprinted finger-printed and photographed. There were many reasons why suspicion fell upon Johnston. One was the keen interest he took in the case and the other was the fact that he was heavily indebted to the Decker Jewelry Company of Salt Lake City. Johnston had in his possession a receipt for a payment pay-ment -of $763 'to Olson. Banks at Twin Falls report that Johnston has drawn out of his account no such a sum of money. Olson's body was found in his parked automobile at Twin Falls Tuesday, May 24. It is believed Olson was murdered Saturday May 21. |
