Show Eva S. Smith Burial Services At Paradise Paradise Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, in the Paradise wa:d chapel for Mrs. Eva Summers Smith who died at a Logan hospital Saturday following follow-ing an operation. Services were directed by Bishop Heber Shipley. Prayers were by Elder Rulon Bick-more Bick-more of Logan and Alfred Kern of Preston. The choir, directed by Mrs. Gertrude Welch sang the opening and closing songs. Other musical numbers were, a vocal solo by Mrs. Arthur Summers of Avon with Phebe Richman pianist; pian-ist; a duet by Margaret Daniel-sen Daniel-sen and Mae Thomas; a cornet duet by Darrel and Keith Norris; a solo by Mrs. Rulon Bickmore of Logan, Speakers who spoke of the noble character of the deceased were Leslie Nuhn of Avon; President Presi-dent D. M. Bickmore and Bishop Heber Shipley. The flowers were many ' -and beautiful and carried by lelatives. Pall bearers were Darrel and Keith Norris, Gerald and Lloyd Shipley, Ellis Richman and Hillary Obray. Burial was in the Paradise cemetery and the grave was dedicated by David Call of Layton. A very large crowd was present and 44 automobiles followed the remains to its resting place. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin . Shipley of Stockton, Calif., and Kenneth Summers of Monticello, Utah were in attendance at the funeral and also visited other relatives. |
