Hovey, secretary of the Logan chamber of commerce, sent a letter to the editor of the Fur Journal published at Seattle, Washington, calling attention to the fact that a fur summer school session will be held in Logan this summer. Editor Garfield, recognizes the letter, promises to publish same and comments on Logan fur Industry In-dustry in an interesting letter as follows: Seattle, Washington. May 19, 1938. Dear Sir: Thanks for letter of 17th transmitting trans-mitting copy announcing summer school session of the Utah association, as-sociation, coming by air mail. It arrived just in time for insertion I in our May issue now going on ! press, and we will refer to it in our June number. Several years ago we attended a summer school session of fur farmers in Logan, it was held on the campus, under the trees and fairly cool to desert people peo-ple but for us Northerners piping hot. What a relief it was to attend at-tend a party at Austin Pond's in the evening and have him turn on a cooling breeze from up the canyon. Utah and its fur farmers are fortunate to have such men as Austin Pond and Bruce Hartman in this industry. We have been |
