Show Sheep Thieves Held To District Court Darrell Smith, Lyman Rasmussen and Earl Jensen, were given a preliminary pre-liminary hearing before Justice of the Peace Reuben Christensen Thursday Thurs-day afternoon of last week. The three young men, together with William Patterson, were charged with grand larceny, the complaint stating that the men had stolen a sheep from the corrals of Vern Roper at Fayette. Officers Of-ficers located the culprits by following follow-ing the trail left by the truck, in which the sheep was carried away. Smith, Rasmussen and Jensen were bound over to the district court and i held in bonds of $500 each. Jensen is at liberty, bail having been furnished furnish-ed until his hearing. Smith and Ras- . mussen 'are at the county jail at Manti in default of bond. William Patterson, who was arrested arrest-ed at the time the other three were apprehended, proved his innocence as an accomplice in the crime. The evidence evi-dence showed he was with the other lads, but it was a case of "dog tray" in bad company. Patterson, it was proven, resides in California and was making a brief stop here. |
