Show Urges Advertising Utah's Seed Crop A few years ago Utah was put on '.he map by winning a, large number of first prizes on alfalfa seed, wheat, cats and barley at the International Hay and Grain show in Chicago. Since that time only a very few individual in-dividual farmers have exhibited there, but these have never failed to win prizes. This year has been a very ;oed crop year in Utah, and with a little care in selection, grading and cleaning, products from this state ;houhl be able to compete favorably with exhibits from other sections of '.he country when placed in competition competi-tion at Chicago November 20 to December De-cember 3, is the opinion of Prof. J. O. Hogenson, extension agronomist of the Utah State Agricultural college. col-lege. "Utah's products' need to be advertised adver-tised more," said Professor Hogenson, Hogen-son, "and there is no better way than o enter worthy exhibits at the International In-ternational Hay and Grain show." In his w.'de experience as judge at many county and state fairs, Professor Profes-sor Hogenson has observed that some fanners win more cash in prizes at fairs with their products than all the rest of, their crops bring. All crop S growers are urged to submit an exhibit ex-hibit this year in Chicago. One peck of grain or alfalfa seed is all that is necessary to pass the entrance requirements. re-quirements. For further information write to the extension agromonist at the Utah State Agricultural college at Logan or consult a county agent.
