Show Committee Rates Highest In State Ray L. Lillywhite, assistant supervisor super-visor of the state farm debt adjustment adjust-ment committee, in an open letter, highly commends the work being done by the county farm debt adjustment committee, and in his letter he says: "I would like, through your paper, to call to the attention of the people of Sanpete county the wonderful service ser-vice being rendered by your farm debt adjustment committee, consisting ' of Ira Overfelt, chairman, George W. j Sorenson and Elmo Irons. In behalf of this office I want to commend them , for the manner in which they have contributed their time and expense for the benefit of the people of Sanpete San-pete county. Perhaps no committee in the state has been more efficient and obtained better results. ... ... ''It is gratifying to know that through the individual initiative and uselfish efforts of these men many farm families have been able to remain re-main in their homes and on their farms. "This committee, functioning as an indirect relief agency, at little or no cost to the state or national government, govern-ment, is accomplishing what would cost in terms of direct relief, were these people foreclosed and put out of their homes, many hundreds of dollars. ''It should be clearly understood that there is no obligation on the part of the applicant. This is a free, good will service, being offered by the farm debt adjustment committee of your county. Anyone having debt difficulties dif-ficulties may apply to one of these men for help. "We are anxious that this work be continued and we are anxious that the people of Sanpete county recognize recog-nize its value and cooperate with the members of this committee." |
