Show has been granted about 100 patents, some of which marked revolutionary advances in the electrical arts. For several years he has been engaged in efforts to solve the - problem of electrical transmission without wires. Dr. Tesla is reported to have expressed ex-pressed his intention to place his death ray at the disposal of the Geneva Gen-eva disarmament conference in the interest in-terest of peace. He considers the new invention to be a defensive weapon, whose purpose is to make war a foolhardy fool-hardy venture in the future. Further developments and tests of the Tesla death ray will be awaited with intense interest. A REAL DEATH RAY? In recent years there have been ' reports of the discovery of a powerful power-ful "death ray" by various persons, but none of them seem to have Amounted to anything. This month, however, the famous 77-year-old inventor, in-ventor, Nikola Tesla, announced that he had produced a destructive ray which could be projected many miles, destroying everything in is path. This mysterious new ray would bfe of greatest value as a protection of cities from enemy attack, according to the inventor, who declares it could be projected in vast curtains 100 miles fcmg and several miles high, which would be impenetrable from land or air.
