Metcalf, and consolation prizes ; went to Mrs. Oscar Tolck and Mrs. Editha Eoenlund. i j Mrs. Ben Childs entertained for 'members of the Junior Bridge club at I her home Wednesday evening of last ' week. Four tables of bridge were in ' play until eleven-thirty, when Mrs. , Childs served a dainty luncheon. First ' honors at the game were taken by i Mrs. Editha Rosenlund, and the consolation con-solation went to Mrs. M. M. Duggins. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Knighton motored to Salt Lake Tue day on a combined business and pleasure trip. They expect to return Friday. r Assistant Ca'shier C. E. Andersen of the Gunnison Valley bank spent Tuesday at Moroni, Fountain Green and other North Sanpete county towns. He was looking after interests of the bank he represents. Miss Nathala Christensen of Berkeley, Ber-keley, Calif., was a guest at the Chas. C. Nielson home at Centerfield for a few days last week. Miss Christensen, Christen-sen, who is associated with a doctor's clinic, operating iry Berkeley, Oakland Oak-land and San Francisco, is taking a vacation and after her visit here she left for Idaho, where she will be a guest of her brothers. Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hagan, who spent the past ten days vacationing on the Pacific coast, returned to their home here Monday evening. They visited vis-ited with their daughters, Mrs. John Millar and Miss Julia Hagan, at Los Angeles, and with Mr. and Mrs. Miles Madsen at Long Beach. Returning, they made a stop at Bakersfield where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Armistead. Harold B. Hughes came down from Salt Lake last week and was the guest of Chas. C. Nielson for a couple of days. Chris. Thompson, who has been absent ab-sent for the past five months, visiting visit-ing with his children at Ogden and Salt Lake, returned to Gunnison Sunday Sun-day evening. Mrs. Virginia Peck is here from Salt Lake. She will be the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bard-sley, Bard-sley, for two weeks. |
