Show Plans Are Complete for Annual Homemaking Leadership Coursej Leaders for this course are chosen because of their interest in home and community advancement; their interest inter-est in adult education, and their ability abil-ity to promote county and community programs. Those who complete three years of project work and attend three leaders' training courses will be given a certificate by the college in recognition of their achievements. Awards t;his year will be made during a special banquet at the Hotel Eccles ! on the evening of November 12. j Plans are being made at the Utah State Agricultural college by the extension ex-tension service for the annual home-makers' home-makers' training course to be held on the campus November 6 to 18. This course, which is under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Rena R Maycock, assistant as-sistant director of the extension service, ser-vice, is designed expressly for the many volunteer leaders who are assisting as-sisting in the furtherance of the extension ex-tension program throughout the state, Mrs. Maycock said. Intensive work will be given the .leaders in clothing, foods and nutrition, nutri-tion, home management, child care and training, consumers' interests and purchasing practices, home trends in changing conditions, and books for the family. The extension service officials will program each day of the conference from morning until night, allowing ample time for class work, rest and recreation. Living accomodations will be furnished by the college and meals will be served for a nominal cost at ihe cafeteria. |
