Show ML Pleasant Lad Commits Suicide Max Oldham, 20, youngest son of the late Louis and Mary Anderson Oldham, was found dead from a self-inflicted self-inflicted wound in the head from a revolver about 7 a. m. Saturday, according ac-cording to the Mt. Pleasant Pyramid. He left a note to a girl friend asking ask-ing her forgiveness and bidding her goodbye. He was "found seated on a kitchen chair at the family home, two miles east of Mt. Pleasant. He had attended attend-ed a Christmas dance in the evening and left town about 3 a. m. He was found by his brothers, John and William Oldham, when they arose Saturday morning. J Dr. P. L. Holman declared death had been instantaneous.. No inquest was deemed necessary by City Marshal Mar-shal W. K. Peterson. He was born here April 24, 1911, and lived with his brothers on their large farm just east of the city. His father lost his life in the flood wh(ch swept this city in June, 1918, and his mother died a year ago. ' He is survived by four brothers and one sister: Charles, William and John Oldham, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Alice Ney and Harold Oldham, Reno, Nevada. |
