Show OPEN PHEASANT SEASON PARADISE FOR NIMRODS Hunting Chinese pheasants for the four days set aside by the state game commissioner as an open season has given nimrods of the valley to show rare marksmanship and clever shooting shoot-ing for the wary bird. However, Gunnison Gun-nison hunters have been exceedingly lucky and those who have hunted here and as far south as Central in Sevier Sev-ier county, have fared well, and as a general rule bag limits were made on the first two opening days. The army of hunters, though, have made the birds somewhat wild and the closing day, Wednesday, the kill was not as large. The pheasants are in splendid condition, being fat and supplying a delicious dish for the table. Sportsmen, as a rule, were careful in killing pheasant hens, preferring to leave them for further hatching-purposes. hatching-purposes. Quite a few of the female birds were bagged though. i |
