Show Family Reunion Is Largely Attended With e'ghty - five descendants of William and Mary Childs gathered for the fifth annual reunion in Twelve Mile canyon Saturday, marked mark-ed an event that was highly successful success-ful and enjoyable to all present. Early Saturday, the relatives motored motor-ed to the picnic grounds and some time was spent in greetings and renewing re-newing acquaintances and enjoying a social time. A brief business meeting was held and . officers for the ensuing year were named, as follows: Newell Childs, president; Grover Childs and Mrs. O. R. Stewart, vice-presidents; Erma Lundeberg, secretary. Chairmen Chair-men of the committees of the organization organi-zation as named were: Roy Childs, assisted by Mrs. Rachel Fautin, for the recreation committee; Hubert Childs, genealogical committee; Ed. S. Childs, temple committee; and reporter, re-porter, Ada Anderson. At noon a big dinner was served and following a mixed program, consisting con-sisting of talks, readings, musical selections, and dancing, was given and highly enjoyed. Mrs. John S. Peterson Pe-terson was in charge of the entertainment enter-tainment features, and proved a real director. Games of all kinds were enjoyed en-joyed during the afternoon, and when the day closed all were of one accord ac-cord the annual reunion was a great success. Relatives from outside points attending at-tending the annual reunion were Mrs. O. R. Stewart, Garn, Walter and Jean Stewart, Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Owen Miller .and children of Benjamin. |
