Show tivity. It is to be hoped that the persistence per-sistence of such propaganda, under the protection of our ultra-pacifists and internationalist, dupes and adepts in anti-American activities, will not result in the same results being j brought upon America, as have beem brought upon China. The Chinese situation situ-ation is an object lesson in the aims and' methods of bolshevism. The rest of the world has much learn from it. "RED" IMPERIALISM. Hard on the heels of an outburst of ridicule by certain metropolitan newspapers against opposition to communist com-munist revolutionary activity in the United States, comes the news that the republic of China is being driven into war with Russia through "red" revolutionary propaganda, and imperialist im-perialist aggression by the Soviet government and its far-flung network net-work of enemy agents. Under the pretense of aiding the Chinese republican government in resisting re-sisting the imperialist aggression of other' powers, the soviet government so completely infiltrated official China Chi-na under Borodin that in order to escape es-cape becoming a dependency of Moscow, Mos-cow, the Chinese government was compelled1 to expel the ''red" agents who had swarmed into China. But with this revolt against soviet domination, dom-ination, the acitivity of "red" agents has not ceased. The Russian embassy and consulates, according to the Chinese Chi-nese government, have become centers cen-ters of conspiracy against China, despite de-spite a clause in the treaty between two governments forbidding revolutionary revolu-tionary agitation by one government in the territory of the other. What the bolshevist government is now seeking to defend in China, is not only its policy of conspiracy for revolution, but domination over a railroad eytending hundreds of miles over Chinese territory, . with soldiers and police swarming on Chinese soil. It is as if the British government controlled con-trolled a trunk line between New York and Chicago, garrisoned by British Brit-ish soldiers. This is of course imperialism imper-ialism in its most flagrant form. The soviet government is capable of attempting at-tempting to establish by force of arms its title to this imperialist ''concession," ''conces-sion," although for months the bolshevist bol-shevist leaders have been hypocritically hypocritic-ally crying out against "imperialism." "imperial-ism." ; When American marines were defending de-fending the lives and property of American citizens in China during disturbances brought about through alien ''red" intrigue, the self-styled "liberals" of this country, most of whom show a tender side for soviet Russia!, were crying "Hands off China." Now that red imperialism is marching troops to maintain its hold upon a Chinese railroad, these "liberals" "lib-erals" have fallen strangely silent. Imperialism seems to be all right with them so long as it is of the "'red" variety. i The Revolutionary government which haa been carrying on insurrectionary insurrec-tionary propaganda in China is of course not idle in any other country. , Indeed the United States of America has been openly declared to be the chief target of red revulutionary ac- |
