Show Auto License Time; Warning Sounded I Secretary of State H. E. Crockett, j in a communication being forwarded j to the several auto ' inspectors, deal-j deal-j ers and car owners, sounds warning that the time will soon be ready for the issuance of the 1928 license plates. Practically no new changes have been made since last year, excepting ex-cepting the announcement of the classification of the new model "A" Ford, which comes under the $7.5C class. Mr. Crockett advises and urges all owners to get their applications appli-cations in as early as possible, thus aiding the army of employes to get the licenses out and delivered before the delinquent date. Car owners or inspectors are instructed in-structed to fill out application card completely, using the designated colors col-ors for passenger cars, trucks and trailers, and have application card duly notarized. The certificate of ownership or registration must be attached and the correct fee as per schedule must accompany the application. applic-ation. Sending of bills and coin is discouraged, for the reason of losses. loss-es. Checks or money orders are advised. If a car owner is unable to send either certificate on account of loss or destruction, an extra dollar will be necessary. All transfers must be properly recorded in the state office before the 1928 license plates can be secured. If the transfer accompanies the application for plates, don't forget for-get to send the required $1 transfer fee. Delivery of the plates can be ex pidited if the rules are followed, and if your application is regular, your plates can be mailed out the same day the application is received. |
