Show POPULAR JAPANESE GIRL IS CLAIMED AS BRIDE ' Miss Matsuye Kaneko, daughter ui Mr. and Mrs. I. Kaneko, prominent in the Japanese colony at Westview, and Sanjiro Araki, of Salina, where he is employed at the Sevier Valley Coal mine, were married at Manti Wednesday of last week. The ceremony cere-mony was performed at the county court house, Ernell J, Mortensen, county clerk, officiating-. A few intimate inti-mate friends of both the bride and groom witnessed the ceremony. Following Fol-lowing the wedding rites, the newly-weds newly-weds returned to Gunnison and an informal in-formal reception was held at the home of the bride. Mrs. Araki, the new bride, is well and popularly known here. She attended at-tended the high school, later graduating gradu-ating with high honors. Mr. Araki has been employed at the coal mines in Salina canyon for more than a year and is an experienced workman. The marriage of the well known Japanese pair is perhaps the first in the history of the county. . |
