Show Mrs. CM. Edwards Gets Compensation Mrs. C. M. Edwards, widow of the late C. M. Edwards, according to advices ad-vices received here, has been awarded award-ed compensation at the rate of $12.65 per week for a period of 312 weeks, or a total of $3,946.80. In addition to this, the state industrial commission has directed Sanpete county to pay the hospital bills incurred, together with burial expenses. The order was directed the first of the week by the members of the state industrial commission, com-mission, after that body had made i thorough investigation. C. M. Edwards, at the time of his death, was enroute to Salt Lake and was accompanied by Sheriff Ed. Peterson. Pe-terson. The officers were seeking a clue that would lead them to the cul-j prits that burglarized the Gunnison Drug company's store a few days before. When near Union, the car in which Mr. Edwards was riding collided col-lided with another auto, , resulting in injuries which, the following day, resulted re-sulted in the death of Mr. Edwards. The victim of the accident suffered a broken neck as he was plunged forward for-ward in the car. He survived until the following day and was undergoing undergo-ing an operation when the life-string snapped. |
