Show Gunnison Valley Bank Will Reopen Doors For Business During Week Depositors Sign Waivers 100 Per Cent, Agreeing to Stipulations for Limited Withdrawals Bank Will Be Sound. Following a meeting of the de- positors of the Gunnison Valley bank a week ago, at which time a complete ', statement of the bank's condition was ; made by officers of the institution, announcement, is made that the bank will be again opened for business by not later than Saturday, and possibly by Friday morning. Ira Overfelt, vice-president vice-president and cashier, left late Wednesday Wed-nesday for Salt Lake, where he will submit a new set up for approval by the federal and state bank commission commis-sion officers. The state and federal bank officers had asked for not less than 100 per cent of the signatures on the waivers. Practically 100 per cent of the depositors ' have signed, and assurance was made by a state bank officer that there could be no doubt as to the outcome, and that a license would be issued to the Gunnison Gunni-son Valley bank to open its doors, un der certain restrictions, which are contained con-tained in the waiver submitted to the depositors. Under the new plan depositors will be privileged to withdraw 25 per cent of. the remaining balance of deposits at the time the national banking holiday holi-day was declared by President Franklin Frank-lin D: Roosevelt, March 6th. An additional addi-tional 25 per cent will be available for withdrawal from savings accounts, subject to the rules printed in savings account books, which provide ample notification be made for withdrawals of the savings accounts. The balance of the funds deposited prior to tha holiday can be withdrawn in accordance accor-dance with the provisions stipulated in the waiver. The new set up for new accounts has met with a hearty support, and business men and others are availing themselves and showing their loyalty by remaining clients of the bank. There are no restrictions on the new accounts started, and checks can be drawn for 100 per cent on the new accounts. ac-counts. Restrictions on withdrawals will apply only to the old accounts. Response of the depositors of the banking institution to support the officers of-ficers in their endeavor to rehabilitate the hank, has been wonderful, and the fact that approximately 100 per cent has signed the waivers shows loyalty and confidence in the baixk and its officers. With the full support of the clientele clien-tele and the plans now mapped out, the Gunnison Valley bank will again open its doors, more sound than ever before, and it will be a banking institution insti-tution that will constantly gain the favors of its patrons. |
