Show Ground Broken for Amusement Hall Ground was broken Monday of this week for the new amusement and dance hall, which is to be erected on the lots just north of the Martin Peterson Pe-terson Automobile company headquarters. headquar-ters. Carpenters and diggers are busy and the new structure is to be hurried hur-ried to completion as quickly as possible, pos-sible, and it is expected the amusement amuse-ment hall will be ready for use about the middle of June. The new structure will be 100x55 feet, with the main portion being built of lumber. According to the designs, there will be a stage 20 feet deep and the width of the buidlng. A large basement, the walls and floor of which will be of concrete, will be placed at the west end of the building and immediately under the stage. The basement arrangement will be modern in every particular. There will be rest rooms for both men and women, check room and dressing rooms. Water will be piped to the building and placed at vantage points, and the structure will be lighted by electricity. The main dance room will be 55x80 feet sufficiently large to accomodate big gatherings and it will have the distinction of being one of the largest open air dancing pavilions in Southern South-ern Utah. The building cost will be about $4,-500, $4,-500, and the finances are to be raised more the story of this Tennessee bear stake, and it will be known as a community com-munity dance and amusement hall. |
