TEACH MUSIC IN JAPAN Miss Mabel Daniels, the accomplished accom-plished musician, and who spent several sev-eral months in Gunnison, in company com-pany with Miss Josie Curtis, left for Salt Lake the first of the week. I Miss Daniels goes under appoint- j ment of the Presbyterian Board of Foreign missions, to Nagoya, Japan,' where she will have charge of inusi- caL instructions in the girl's school of Golden Castle College. She sails! tomorrow, Friday, from San Francisco,' Fran-cisco,' on the steamship "President Madison,'' for Kobe, Japan. During her stay here Miss Daniels made hosts of warm friends and through her clever ability as a vocalist and musician she aided much in the suc-.cess suc-.cess of the various meetings held in the city. Miss Curtis, after spending a day at Salt Lake, continued her journey-to' journey-to' Denver, taking advantage of the excursion rates. She will spend about three weeks in Denver visiting with her brother, and expects to return re-turn to Gunnison about the first of October. -- |
