Show County Taxpayers Organize for Action Next Saturday Ephraim will bo tiw scene of an important meeting of taxpayers tax-payers of Sanpete county, and some-important some-important issues arc to be brought before the meeting for consideration and real action. L. R. Anderson, president pres-ident of the Sanpete County Taxpayers' Taxpay-ers' association, through his secretary, J. S. Plain, has forwarded letters to the county press and to taxpayers, urging a big attendance. The meeting meet-ing will convene at 1:30 p. m., in Use library building. Tax issues will be the sole topic of discussion, and particularly the pro-posed pro-posed raise in the valuation of farm lands in the outside counties, by the state board of equalization at S'llt Lake City. This is a question of vital importance to the taxpayers of Sun-pete Sun-pete county, and if this proposed increase in-crease in valuations is carried out, as outlined by the board of equaliza- tion, it will add materially to the taxes and add further burden to the taxpayers. The communication sent out urges a large attendance in order th it a general opposition to the movement of the proposed raised valuation :an be strongly opposed.
