Show Mr. and Mrs. John Edwards returned re-turned to their home heree Tuesday after being in Salt Lake several days. Their son, Clifton, residing at Goshen, Go-shen, was taken to a hospital at Salt Lake a very sick man, due to systemic system-ic poisoning. When the parents left the bedside of their son, his condition condi-tion was repoited slightly better. J J. II. Simonsen, Ohe well known Centerfield merchant, accompanied by Mrs. Simonsen and children, returned re-turned from Salt Lake Monday evening. ev-ening. Mr. and Mrs. Simonsen were conference attendants and following fol-lowing these sessions spent a few Havs visiting and looking after business busi-ness interests . ? Mrs. Charlotte Villard was hostess to the members of the Royal Neigh-! Neigh-! bcrs at a well appointed party at the ! Wistaria last Saturday evening. Miss Gay Hulz and Harold Morgan of San Francisco, came in from the coast last week and are the house cues; at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Duggins, who spent a week at Salt Lake, returned to their' -home in Gunnison Sunday. While away Mr. Duggins consulted with a specialist and is taking treatment treat-ment in the hopes of improving his healing. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Perkins are rejoicing over the good news that a great-grandson, the first in the Perkins Per-kins family, had been bom. Mr. and Mrs. Wendall Perkins are the parents par-ents of the newborn, and ithe notable event happened on the 5th of this month at Smithfield where Mr. and Mrs. Perkins reside. 'Mrs. Edwin Larsen was hostess to a number of her friends at a birthday anniversary party at her home on Thursday afternoon of last week. Twelve guests were present and a delightful afternoon was enoyed. At five o'clock dainty refreshments were served, Mrs. Larson being assisted by her daughter, Mrs. Oliver Olsen. LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST M r . and Mrs. A. H. Kearnes and Miss Orzella Kearnes returned Monday Mon-day after spending a few days at Salt Lake, where they were combining combin-ing business with pleasure. Mrs. J. L. Kearnes has gone to Cedar Ci?y, where, she will spend several days visiting with her son, Hugh Kearnes. Mr. and Mrs. Max Cohen motored from Salina yesterday afternoon for a brief visit. Mr. Cohen was conferring con-ferring with Fletcher Peterson, manager man-ager of the Cohen store in Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Ernsten, who have been in this city for the past week enjoying a vacation, are1 returning return-ing to their home at Paris, Idaho. While here they were the guests at the home of Mrs. J. S. Bastian. They mat(esidetrips to Redmond and Wayne county. |
