Show Health Association Plans Annual Meet Preparations for the ninth annual convention of the Utah Public Health association to be held in Salt Lake City, Thursday, October 21st, at the Hotel Utah, have been completed under un-der the direction of James II. Wa.l-lis, Wa.l-lis, executive secretary. Health problems of interest to the state, especially es-pecially dealing with tuberculosis, and the need of a state sanatorium for those affected with the disease will be discussed . Through the efforts of the association, associa-tion, the following speakers of national na-tional and international proniinr-ice will speak aiti the meetings: Dr. Valeria Va-leria H. Parker, director of the department de-partment of protective measures of the American Social Hygiene association, associ-ation, and president of the National ouncil of Women of the United Slates, will speak on the subject, "Next Steps in Public Health." Dr. Edouard Rist, chief physician of tho tuberculosis department of the Lacn-nec Lacn-nec hospital, Paris, France, who has been in this country attending the meetings of the International Union Against Tuberculosis, at Washington, D. C, will review the work of the Laennec tuberculosis hospital. Mr. Arthur J. Strawson, director of field service of the National Tuberculosis association, will speak on World-Wide, World-Wide, Nation-Wide and State Tuberculosis Tuber-culosis Programs. Reports will be made by George D. Keyser, president, E. A. Bering, treasurer, and James II . Waltis, executive ex-ecutive secretary.
