Show CITY fOMCIL. Sprinkling Regulations to Put out tlie Llglita, etc- The City Council meet in regular regu-lar session, Tuesday. Present, Mayor Peters, Councilmen Mathias, Wight, Forsgren, Kotter and Jensen. (J. unnstensen b estray pound report read and accepted. Committee on Irrigation reported report-ed their visit to Mantua and recommended recom-mended that certain springs anrt ditches be cleaned out. Accepted. Committee on Water-works reported re-ported their work, in regulating sprinkling of lawns, etc. And recommended rec-ommended the rules and regulations, regula-tions, which report was accepted and regulations adopted: Wm. Driver was present and asked for rebate on liquor license, on account of his going out of business. busi-ness. Referred to committee on claims. . Claims allowed: Bugler Co., $5.75; Aug. Erickson, $3.00; Julius Keller, $3.00. The Mayor was authorized to make certain payment on bonds, due in August. It was moved and seconded that the city dispose with street light- ' ing for the present, and until such time as the city's finances will justify such expenditure. Matter discussed and held over for two weeks. Matter of making certain irrigating irri-gating ditch repairs referred to Committee on Irrigation and Water-master. Water-master. The Marshal was instructed to see about getting place for burying cattle. Adjourned to meet as a board of equalization Aug. 8 and 9. |
