Show Mrs. Vern Olsen, accompanied by j her son, Melvin, came jn from Poca-tollo Poca-tollo Monday evening of this week. They will be here for two weeks as the guests of M'rs. Hilda E. Olsen. Mr. Olsen, who is well known here, has a lucrative position with the Oregon Ore-gon Short Line railroad and recently he was appointed official watch in- j spector. . 1 The Gunnison Lions club will entertain enter-tain at an elaborate party at the high school auditorium Thanksgiving evening. even-ing. Mr. Chriatensen has property interests in the valley and he was here making a personal inspection of his holding-s. Rev. T. G. MacLeod will be here from Manti next Sunday evening and at seven-thirty Sunday evening he will deliver the regular semi-monthly sermon at the Presbyterian chapel. The public is invited to be present. At the regular Sunday evening services ser-vices to be held at the R. S. Hall, a special program will be carried out under the direction of the teachers quorum. Following the preliminary exercises Gage Anderson will give a comet solo, talks will be given by two of the ward teachers and sections sec-tions will be given by a quartet. Mrs. L. H. Ericksen and Mrs. W. B. Roper of Bingham, and Ivan Ernst-sen Ernst-sen of Salt Lake, left for their respective res-pective homes last Saturday after spending several days in the city. They were here to attend the marriage marr-iage reception of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ernstsen, held at the home of Mrs. Moroni Jensen last week. |
