Show RESIGNS CHURCH WORK AFTER LONG SERVICE Miss L. S. McMonigal, community worker for the Presbyterian society in Gunnison for the past fourteen years, and serving in a like capacity in the state for some thirty-six years, has resigned her position and the first of the week, accompanied by Miss Josie Curtis, left for her home at Wocster, Ohio, where she will remain permanently. Miss Curtis expects to remain in the east for about two months and during her absence Miss Mabel Daniels, who served as a missionary mis-sionary in China for a number of years, will conduct services and care for the Presbyterian manse. Miss McMonigal, during her residence res-idence here, as well as in the southern sections where she did (community work for the Presbyterian church, made hosts of warm friends and all will regret her departure. They will, however, wish her continued health and happiness. Miss McMonigal is past eighty years of age, but notwithstanding not-withstanding this fact, she is brilliant, brill-iant, a great student and a splendid woman. Her age, it is said, is the cause of her resigning her work. |
