Show Ephraim Lions To Receive Charter Saturday night, if nothing unfor-seen unfor-seen arises to prevent, 100 per cent of membership of the Gunnison Lions club will haunt the "jungles" at Ephraim. At that city there are some thirty young cubs, and prominsing ,:ubs at that, trying to get into the real Lion class and with a view to assisting assist-ing the young cubs, the locals will join in the festivities that will see the Ephraimitcs elevated from the "cub" stage to that of real Lions. Satuiday is the time set for granting the now club its chatter and elaborate plans are being made by the officers and members at Ephraim to make the event eclipse all others. A fine program of entertainment has been mailed to every Lions club in the state and according to announcements made it is expected that hundreds will be there from Salt Lake, Ogden, Mid- vale, Tooele, Payson, Mt. Pleasant, Salina and other towns where there is a Lions club. The local Lions will leave Gunnison about four-thirty and will arrive at Ephraim in time for the elaborate j banquet which will start promptly at 1 six o'clock. The banquet will be held ! at the Snow College. After the banquet ban-quet and ceremonies attendant to the presentation of the charter, a dancing party will be given at the students assembly as-sembly hall. i |
