Show Estimable W oman Answers Summons After suffering for a week with complications of a disability, Mrs. Ole Lai son, Jr., a highly respected resident of this city, passed to the other life early Tuesday morning. Mrs. Larson, though afflicted for the past several months with an aggravated case of rheumatism, was able to be up and about most of the time until a little more than a week ago when she was forced to her bed by an attack of gall stones and jaundice. With her weakened weak-ened condition she was unable to combat com-bat the affliction and in the presence of all members of the family, except-irg except-irg one son, Elaine Larson, she passed peacefully to her maker. Blaine, who has been employed at McGill, arrived home Tuesday afternoon, having been advised of his mother's serious condition. con-dition. In the death of Mrs. Larson the community com-munity loses a splendid and highly respected re-spected woman. She was known as having a loving and kindly disposition and was most devoted to her family. She also did many acts of charity and ofTercd a helping hand to those in need. Mrs. Larson was an ardent member of the L. D. S. church and at different times held offices of trust in the Relief society and Mutuals while living at Axtell and Gunnison. Maria Caroline Thunnison Larson was born in Gunnison, June 9, 1873. She attended the public schools here and grew to womanhood in the valley. On April 21st, 1892, she was married to Ole Larson, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Larson Lar-son resided at Axtell where Mr. Larson Lar-son was engaged in farming until four years ago when the family removed re-moved to Gunnison. Surviving Mi-s. Larson are the husband, hus-band, Ole Larson, Jr., one daughter, Mabel, and six sons, Levern Larsen of Axtell, Roldo, Orlando, Blaine, Arnold Ar-nold and Bardell of this city. Funeral services are announced for today at 2 o'clock, at the Relief society so-ciety hall. Following the church services ser-vices the remains will be taken to the Centerfield cemetery and interred beside be-side that of her daughter, Viginia , who died some ten years ago. |
