Show aid Sorenson and family of Gunnison were guests at the Andrew Sorenson home Thursday of last week. Mrs. Myrtle Whitlock of Mayfield, visited in Axtell last week. F. iday Mrs. Royal Whitlock entertained in her honor, and Saturday she was th 2 honor guest at a family social given by Mrs. Earl Whitlock. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Peterson, Eva and Kenneth Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nielson and Miss Nedra Niel-son Niel-son and Mrs. Belle Erickson and daughter, La Von, were Thanksgiving guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ruel Nielson. The Misses Edna Anderson and Phylis Armstrong returned Sunday after spending Thanksgiving week with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Will Simonsen and Misses Arzell and Ruth, were Thanksgiving Thanks-giving guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Bjerregaard of Ephraim. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Christenson of Salt Lake City, and Lewis E. Chris- tensen of Ephraim, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lehi Olson' Saturday. ' Miss Una Nielson and friend, Miss LaVon Anderson of Ephraim, were g-uests at the C. W. Nielson home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Douglas and children of Nephi, spent Thanksgiving day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Win. Douglas. Postmaster C. L. Despain, is build-. ing a new post office and store com-' bined. JMr. Efespain is arranging so that the office will be seperate from the store and with the "self locking" boxes will be very convenient. Mr. Despain expects to have the building completed within the next week. Don't forget the Primary festival Friday night. If you want to have a real good time, be there promptly at sight o'clock. I- I AXTELL j NEWS ITEMS The big dance given here Wednes'-day Wednes'-day night of last week, proved a big-success, big-success, both socially and financially. One of the most interesting features was the "talking contest," staged between be-tween men and women. Mrs. Willard Barton won the ladies' piize, while Bishop Royal Whitlock carried off the honors for the men. Thanksgiving day was quietly celebrated cel-ebrated in Axtell, family dinners being the main feature throughout the ward.
