Show Apostle McKay Ss Conference Speaker Living the principals as taught by the church and avoiding all pretense of (religion and abiding by the real intentions, a strong appeal for regular attendance at church and Sunday school with sincere thoughts and acts, were the principal themes discussed dis-cussed by Apostle David O. McKay, g-eneral superintendent of the Sunday schools of the Latter Day Saints church at the quarterly conference held at the high school building in this city last Saturday and Sunday. .A postle McKay addressed the meeting Saturday evening and during the Sunday sessions a'nd his remarks were timely and well received by the large crowd of Saints who had gathered gath-ered at the conference. The sessions of the quarterly conference con-ference opened Saturday. There were no auxilliary meetings, and all time was devoted to general meetings. Throughout the addresses were instructive, in-structive, and in addition to the addresses ad-dresses of Apostle McKay, Mrs. J. W. Jones gave an instructive talk on the i Christmas Seal sale and outlined the policies of the Gunnison Valley Health Center, urging all to support both to the fullest extent. She also spoke of the Near East Relief fund, the drive for which is being made i now. The Latter Day Saints church, as well as all other denominations, is backing the Near East Relief fund and Utah citizens are making liberal contributions. President A. E. Park urged support j of all the worthy causes that are now before the public. Chris A.
