Show Pup Worth Owning Aulomobilists passing through a town near New Orleans were perturbed per-turbed when they saw a tiny dog run toward the car, heard his barks and then looked back to see the animal lying at the side of the road and a small boy bendin over him. The car backed and the tourists, told by the youngster that the' dog would probably die, gave him a dollar and continued on their way. At a filling station a mile or so farther on they learned something of interest. "That dog's trained to play dead whenever he runs' close to an automobile," the filling station sta-tion attendant told them, "an' I bet that boy has collected twenty dollar bills from people who have thought the dog was killed." |
