Show British-Russ Break Averted London. Great Britain will not break with Russia. This decision, which was arrived at by the cabinet after a battle that almost led to a series ser-ies of resignations, was announced in the house of commons by Sir William Joynson-Hicks, home secretary. It was received with loud cheering by the Laborites and cries of dissent from the die-hard section of the Tory party, who have been pressing the government to "throw the rascals out" ever since it became known that Russian money was being sent to England Eng-land to support the coal strike. The battle in the cabinet, which has been going on for several days, reached a climax Thursday night. Lord Birkenhead, Birk-enhead, Winston Churchill and Sir William led the anti-Russian element, while Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin I was supported by a majority in his policy of inaction in regard to the Russians relations.
