Show GRADE SCHOOL STUDENTS STAGE REAL ELECTION While the electors of the city were battling with ballots for the success of their candidates, a similar election was being staged at the Washington school. Two tickets wei'e placed in the field the Whigs and the Tories and there was a spirited campaign put over for the officers who would reign ver the "Dirigo" class during the year. Candidates were named for the offices of president, a vice-president, secretary, treasurer and a p.ogram committee. When the voting had closed the Whigs came out victorious vith the following successful candidates: candi-dates: Ruth Larson, president; vice-I vice-I president, Julia Modeen; secretary, Dorthy Sortnson; treasurer, Buster j Peterson; program commitree, Thel- sia Jensen, Irene Larson and Barnice : Mansfield. ; Following- the election of the offic-I offic-I ers other matters were taken up and ;i real business O: ganization effected, j A class motto was chos?n, "Give the I World the Best You Have and the Best Will Come Back to You." The I class colors will be pink and green. Real interest is beinir shown by the members of the class and through it much good will re-ult.
