Sentiment continues bearish due to general economic conditions con-ditions and liquidation in all lines of trade. Bankers in Chicago and New York becoming alarmed over big break in wheat, fearing disastrous consequences conse-quences unless stopped. Milling demand de-mand for cash wheat slightly improved, but fJour buyers still holding off. Mills averaging only 50 per cent of capacity, which is without precedent at this season sea-son of year. Scarcity of soft Red winter win-ter wheat indicated by premiums over December in Chicago markets. No. 1 red winter, S32c over December; No. 2 red winter, 26H30e; No. 1 hard winter, win-ter, seiOc; No. 2 hard winter, 6Sc in Minneapolis'; No. 1 dark northern brought 10c over Minneapolis December Decem-ber on the 26th, and No. 2 5 cents over. Corn market seems on good basis. Strong demand for new yellow No. 3, selling 56e over December and No. 4 four cents over. Only fair demand for mixed corn. For the week Chicago December De-cember wheat lost 19c. closing $1.55, and corn H4c, closing at. 65c. Minneapolis Minne-apolis December wheat lost lSc at $1.41; Kansas City, 16y2c at $1.46; Winnipeg, 23c at $1.61. Chicago March wheat closed at $1.48. May corn at 71 c. Minneapolis March wheat. $1.45; Kansas City, 1.43; Winnipeg May, $1.64. Livestock nnd Menta. Compared with a week ago, hogs at Chicago $1.70 lower today. Sheep and lambs lost 50c to 75c. Cattle advanced 75c to $1 net on beef on steers and about 25c on cows. Western range cattle up 50c. Veal calves down $2. November 26th top Chicago prices: Hogs, $10.25; yearling steers, $17.75; good beef steers, $15.50; heifers, $12.25; cows, $10.25; feeder cows, $10.50; westerns, $12.25; veal calves, $1?; fat and feeding lambs, $11.50; ewes, $4.75. Due to liberal supplies, sup-plies, weakness in livestock markets and the Thanksgiving holiday, fresh meat prices showed substantial declines for the week. Beef waa the least affected, af-fected, declining an average of $1 per 100 pounds. Pork declined most, today's to-day's prices on fresh loins ranging all the way from $3.00 to $11.00 lower than those of a week ago. Veal broke $3.00 5. 00: lamb and mutton, $1.00i3.00 per 100 pdunrts. November 26 prices on good grade meats: Beef, $17.000 21.00; veal, $20.00(323.00; lamb. $21 00025.00; ! mutton. S13 00 14.00: light pork loins, $22.00032 00; heavy loins, $23.000 26.00. Dairy Products. Butter markets unsettled un-settled during the week and prices broke sharply on the 26th. Closing prices 92 score: New York, GOe; Chicago, Chi-cago, 5Tc; Philadelphia, 61c; Boston, 5Sc. These prices represent declines of about 5c in eastern markets; 8 cents Chicago. Weakened condition attributed attribut-ed to surplus on markets and light demand de-mand in anticipation of lower prices. Foreign butter also a factor. Two shipments aggregating 448,000 pounds received from Denmark during week. Argentine "butter hard to move on account ac-count poor quality. Shipments domestic domes-tic reported having been made for eastern east-ern markets back to Interior points, where supplies are temporarily short. Regardless of holiday cheese business fairly good. Stocks moving readily e.t Wisconsin primary markets with quite liberal shipments to eastern markets mar-kets reported. Fall defects in quality beginning to appear and this is expected ex-pected to slow up trading. Trading has been on slightly higher basis than last week.
