Show LOCAL AND PERSONAL NEWS 1 Frauk Carter of Salt Lake, spent several days here this week visiting with relatives and friends. W. Conner, chief mechanic for the Gunnison Valley Sugar factory spent the Fourth of July with friends at Ogden. Dr. and Mrs. Nelson Beal went to Ephriam last Saturday evening. They remained over until .Tuesday, enjoying the holidays with relatives at the northern north-ern city. Miss Stella Duffin, who has been studying music in Salt Lake for the past year, is at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Duffin, for a two week's vacation. The Bonne Foi club were the guests at the home of Mrs. R. Edwards yesterday yest-erday afternoon. Following a reading by Mrs. L. L. Childs the guests were served with refreshments. G. G. Light, superintendent for the Gunnison Valley Sugar company, returned re-turned from a northern trip Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mr. Light visited friends at Twin .Fails, Idaho, and at Salt Lake. i Miss Mary Winder of Salt Lake, is here as the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. W. Jones. Miss Winder will be the guest at the home of Mayor and Mrs. Jones for two weeks or more. Mr. and Mrs. Niel Sorensen, and the Misses Belva and Morjorie Soaensen, returned from Salt Lake Tuesday evening. even-ing. Mrs. Sorensen, who has been taking treatment from a specielist at i the state capitol, is very much improved i 1 health. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Edwards of San-taquin, San-taquin, were' the Fourth of July guests of relatives in Gunnison. Councilman George Halverson, who is employed in the construction of a large mill at Santaquin, spent the Fourth with his family in Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. Julius Duggins have returned from a brief visit to Provo. They enjoyed the Fourth of July visiting visit-ing with relatives at the Garden City. Dr. J. R. Munk, the chiropractor, leaves today for a vacation trip to Fish Lake. Dr. Munk will try his. luck at landing the big ones and expects to return re-turn ext Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Erick Rosenvall and the Rosenvall children, motored from Salt Lake and spent the Fourth with friends and relatives in Gunnison. They returned home Wednesday morning. Mrs. Abe Reigert, accompanied by her son, Milton, returned from an extended ex-tended visit to Salt Lake. Mrs. Reigert Reig-ert has been at the city taking special j treatment and her health is much improved. im-proved. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Jolley of Tropic, Utah, are spending a few days here as the guests of their son, E. M. Jolley, and family. Monday they will leave for Manti and other northern cities on a visit to their childern, Clyde C. Edmonds, cashier for the Gunnison City National bank, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Edmonds, arrived from ' Salt Lake Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Edmonds are occupying rooms at the W. C. Perkins home for the present. ! I Mrs. Walter Pumphreys was hostess' to the Social Circle club at the regular ! semi-monthly meeting last Wednesday j afternoon.
