Show Centerfield Has Big Celebration Centerfield, July 7. The 5th of July was an ideal day on which to hold Independence Day celebration. The day was ushered in cool and pleasant, followed by a cool, refreshing refresh-ing breeze through the hot part of the , . day. The celebration was a success from every point of view, and those in charge of the festivities are entitled to much credit for the efforts put forth. The Sunday schools held a patriotic session Sunday morning, at which an Interesting program was given. It waaor the children and the event is one that will long be remembered by the little ones. In the evening a program pro-gram arranged by the Mutuals was given and the meeting was appropriate appropri-ate for the occasion and highly enjoyed en-joyed by those present. Saturday night proved a bad one for Peter Georgidis, proprietor of the dance hall. In defiance of the city or-j dinance, Georgidis gave a dance Sat- j urday night, and for violating tho or-j dinance ho was hailed into court and, fined $50. A young man from Salina I also got into tho "toils," and it cost the boy from the south $15. The fellow was arrested for disturbing the lieace and he protested when assessed the fine, contending that the Salina ( courts let them off with a $7 fine. He! was told to go to Salina to disturb the I - peace If he found the rates cheaper. Mrs. Mary Woolsey had as her; guests at her home during the Fourth Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson of Draper. Dra-per. Mr. and M.rs. T. H. Willey of Salt Lake, and her son. Leonard Woolsey, who has been at Preston. Ida., for some time past. Jensen and family of Sigurd are visiting at the home of Mrs. James Jensen. Einnr Jensen, who underwent an operation while at Prove for an injured in-jured eye. has returned to Centertiehi. and he is very much improved.
