Show Name Committe for Wilson Foundation To honor a great American, a national na-tional committee of 250 representative representa-tive men and women has undertaken to establish the Woodrow Wilson Foundation. The purpose of the foundation is to honor a great American and to create a method whereby! public service will be encouraged en-couraged and conspicuously recognized recog-nized in this and future generations. An organization for Sanpete county, coun-ty, has been effected and already subscriptions sub-scriptions for the Foundation are being received. Oscar B. Berglund, president of the Gunnison Valley Bank, has been named as a member of the committee for this county. S. M. Nielson of Mt. Pleasant, is county chairman. Other members throughout through-out the county are: Fairview, Peter Sundeall. Spring City, Lee Allred; Ephraim,' H. F. Neilson; Manti, J. H. Hougaard; Centerfield, A. C. Fjeld-sted; Fjeld-sted; Moroni, Orlando Bradley; Fountain Green, Niels Hansen. The Foundation is created by public pub-lic subscriptions in recognition of the national and international services of Woodrow WTilson, twice president of the United States, who furthered the cause of human freedom and was instrumental in pointing out effective effec-tive methods for the co-operation of the liberal forces of mankind throughout the world. The Award or Awards from the Income of the Foundation will be made from time to time by a nationally nation-ally constituted committee to the individual in-dividual or group that has rendered, within a specified period, meritorious service to democracy, public welfare, liberal thought or peace through jus-i jus-i tice. 1 To establish this Fouudatiou on a fitting basis, the National Committee, Commit-tee, through an .organization in each state, will make an appeal for a popular popu-lar subscription. The amount of the fund sought It $1,000,000 or more. The appeal will be issued to all who beliefe in those libera and democratic de-mocratic principles that Woodrow Wilson has so conspicuously championed, cham-pioned, and who wish to perpetuate the influence of America's great war lender. After the fund has been raised a Board of Trustees, composed of eminent em-inent Americans, will be entrusted ' with, its permanent administration. i |
