Show Funeral Held For Pioneer Resident Centerfield, Jan. 2;. I mi r --ive funeral services were 1 1 .-1 ' 1 fur An-drew An-drew S i j r; ii Amlifrsun from the meeting meet-ing house last Wednesday. Services wen- conducted by Chris. A. Peterson Peter-son and tin; singing was under tin; direction of Sidney Fjeldsted. The opening song, "Oh My Father" was followed by invocation by George I'eterson. The speakers at the funeral fun-eral services were iirigham Jensen, F.rick Olsen, Ole Larson, Andrew Jensen Jen-sen and A. C. Fjeldsted. Andrew S. Anderson died at his home last Friday following an attack of prostitus. He was born at Vine-bjerg, Vine-bjerg, Denmark, December 21, 1S3, being a" few (lays past SS years old at the time of his death. He is survived sur-vived by his wile, two sons, Soren P. and Andrew I!. Anderson, and two (laughters, Mrs. Mary Christensen and Mrs. Km ma Hansen. All Hie surviving children were present at Hie funeral. William Kosiiuist, a son-in-law of Kphraini, was also here to allend Hie funeral services. The meeting house was crowded with sympathizing friends and the floral offerings were many and beautiful. beau-tiful. Mrs. ('. II. Kmbley prepared a royal feast last Sunday in honor of her husband, Chas. 1 1. Kmbley, it being his lilird birthday anniversary. Another feature added to the birthday birth-day festivities was a wedding dinner in honor of Mrs. and Mrs. Junius Kmbley. Km-bley. The latter expect to leave shortly for their home in Canada. All of the children and grandchildren, grandchil-dren, excepting Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Barton and their daughter, Miss Barbara Bar-bara of Morgan, were present. The affair proved to be one of the most enjoyable held at C'enterfield for some time. A farewell party was tendered to Angus Westover last night and many friends gathered to say good bye and wish him a pleasant trip. Mr. West-over West-over will leave about February 3rd for New Zealand on a mission for the L. D. S. Church. He expects to be absent two or more years. ' Last week a "shower farewell" was given giv-en Mr. Westover at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaBriel Tickett in Gunnison. Gunni-son. Eldon Childs and family, of Chester, Ches-ter, have moved to Centerfield. They will make this place their permanent home. |
